When emergencies strike, whether through conflict, forced displacement, natural disasters, or humanitarian crises, Peace Matters responds swiftly to protect life, dignity, and hope. Our emergency aid programmes are grounded in Islamic principles of mercy, justice, and responsibility towards humanity, delivering urgent, life-saving assistance to individuals and families facing extreme hardship.
We provide essential relief including food parcels, clean drinking water, emergency shelter materials, hygiene kits, and urgent medical support. These interventions are designed to meet immediate survival needs while preserving dignity, in accordance with the honour Allah has bestowed upon all people.
Allah says
in the Qur’an:
وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ
“Indeed, We have honoured the children of
Adam.” (Qur’an 17:70)
At the heart of our work is the sanctity\
of human life. Allah declares:
مَنْ أَحْيَا نَفْسًا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا
“Whoever saves one life, it is as though they have
saved all of humanity.”(Qur’an 5:32)
This divine principle shapes our emergency response and reinforces our duty to act swiftly, fairly, and without discrimination when lives are at risk. Emergency aid is not simply charity; it is a moral and spiritual obligation.
Peace Matters is guided by the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who emphasised collective compassion and responsibility within the Ummah, reminding us that believers are united in mercy and care for one another. In moments of crisis, we strive to reflect this teaching by standing alongside those who are hungry, displaced, injured, or facing overwhelming hardship.
The Qur’an also praises those
who give selflessly, even during
difficulty:
وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا
“They give food, despite their own need for it, to the poor,
the orphan, and the captive.” (Qur’an 76:8)
